Dear GHROA Members,
We hope this message finds you well. Following our February Board of Directors meeting, We are pleased to inform you of about the purchase of new equipment for the community.
After careful consideration, the board has chosen to invest in a brand-new Kubota 60 HP utility tractor, which comes with a warranty and is expected to serve the community efficiently for an extended period.
Additionally, we have decided to replace our old s-tine drag with a new H20 Pro Arena Drag, selected for its suitability to our community's needs. Like the tractor, this drag comes with a warranty and is anticipated to be a valuable asset for many years.
We want to express our gratitude to the arena committee members who researched equipment options. We also appreciate the input and suggestions from other community members during this process.
It's worth noting that, as mentioned in a previous communication, we considered seeking community feedback. However, the selected options demonstrated significant advantages in utility-to-cost ratio compared to other alternatives we considered, eliminating the need for further consultation.
We are pleased to share that the insurance proceeds from the loss of our previous tractor covered a significant portion of the cost of both items. Consequently, we were able to pay for the new tractor and drag in full from our operating account without requiring additional funds from a bank or our rainy-day fund.
We have already taken possession of the new tractor, and the new drag is on order with an estimated delivery time of approximately 8 weeks. In the meantime, we will continue using the old drag for ongoing arena maintenance.
Once again, thank you to everyone involved in this process, and we look forward to the positive impact these acquisitions will have on our community.
Respectfully,
GHROA Board of Directors
